You start your journey in the red Kalahari region 300 km southeast of Windhoek. Afterwards you continue to “the other desert of Namibia” the Namib Desert and the high dunes of Sossusvlei.
From here you drive to the coastal town of Swakopmund, where a visit to the harbour town of Walvis Bay is also possible. Along the wild romantic Atlantic coast you now enter the rough and rocky Damaraland, home of the desert-dwelling elephants and black rhinos. On a guest farm close to Kamanjab you’ll gain insights into typical farm life.
On the road again you drive past Opuwo, the capital of the Kaokoland to Ruacana and the picturesque Epupa Falls of the Kunene River. In this area you have many opportunities to see the local Himba and Herero tribes and to visit some villages.
Via Opuwo you enter the western gate into the Etosha National Park where you will spend the night at the Dolomite Camp. The following days you will explore the park intensively during game drives. Experience free roaming African wildlife on your safari through Namibia’s most famous national park.
