Big Cats at Okonjima, the absolute highlight

Leopard

Okonjima Lodge has once again, like on previous occasions, been THE highlight of our Namibia safari. It is just beautiful to watch the animals from the comfort of your room or while lying in bed; the activities and sightings were just spectacular; the cheetah walk in the afternoon and the leopard tracking in the morning are a special experience. The ambiance and tasty food in the elegant farm hall of Plains Camp, had a special charm for us; we would have even liked to stay longer than 2 nights.

We were also pleased about Sossusvlei Dune Lodge ( NWR) which is the only lodge in the area, which offers self-drive customers the possibility to enter the park before sunrise for a visit to Sossusvlei. Hohenstein Lodge is highly recommendable for its special appeal of the surrounding Erongo mountains. We also loved Palmwag Lodge; The only unpleasant experience is as always, the service and the food in the National restcamps in Etosha. Next time we will definitely try the privately run lodges on the outside of the park. Many thanks for the perfect organisation . We enjoyed every minute. Till our next tour to Namibia.
